At the wheel of an Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.0 TB, it’s immediately clear you are in a car that combines sporty character with the practicality of an everyday sedan. Its beating heart is a 2.0 turbo petrol engine delivering 200 or 280 HP, lively even from mid-range rpm, paired with a fast and intuitive automatic gearbox. With near-perfect weight distribution, it offers a dynamic that is responsive and rewarding: composed, reactive, and able to provide emotions that are never a given in this segment.

To draw a comparison, take the 124 Abarth: a light, raw, essential roadster. Where the Giulia is refined and progressive, the 124 is direct and brutal. Two different interpretations of the Italian sporting spirit, but sharing the same DNA: putting the driver at the center and enhancing sensations.

Alientech’s latest updates cover these applications, the most widespread in workshops specialized in calibration and tuning. Starting from the Giulia 2.0 TB or the Stelvio SUV, up to FCA group vehicles equipped with the well-known 1.4 MultiAir, like the 124. Different vehicles in terms of target and use, but sharing the same need: obtaining a tailor-made recalibration based on the end customer’s requests.

For Marelli MM10JA ECU:

Fan and water pump management: editable duty cycles, activation thresholds and post-shutdown duration, for better thermal control.

E85 conversion: new maps for cold start and fuel enrichment, ideal for ethanol use in markets where it is common.

Pedal management in Race mode: it is now possible to keep the Dynamic pedal map even with the DNA switch in Race position.

Start&Stop deactivated at startup: the function remains available but is deactivated by default for greater user consistency.

Turbo pressure and torque in the different driving modes (DNA): three differentiated levels of boost and torque, for a response always consistent with the selected driving style.

Left Foot Brake Activation: advanced management to enable driving techniques such as brake boost.

Lambda deactivation (DTC P0420): useful when installing sports exhaust systems.

For Marelli 8GM ECU:

DWELL management: possibility to set a hard cut limiter by cutting ignition timing – perfect for racing applications.

Lambda deactivation: also available here for installation of aftermarket exhaust systems.

Turbo pressure Normal/Sport: differentiated boost target for the two driving modes.

Injector preheating: essential for managing larger injectors combined with bigger turbochargers.

Injection cut-off: customizable to obtain effects like pops & bangs, with control of duration and activation threshold.
