New ECM Titanium Drivers update for Delphi CRD3.40 control units.
Even more possibilities for modification and customization are available for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
ECM TITANIUM – Drivers
The Alientech team that deals with the Drivers update focused on the CONTINENTAL SIMOS10 and CONTINENTAL SIMOS18 equipped on Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles. Find out what you can get thanks to ECM Titanium and the updated maps that you will find in the Drivers!
The management of these ECUs – Continantal SIMOS10 and SIMOS18 – is a bit more complex than the Bosch management, as it requires the modification of some particular maps in order to prevent the vehicle from going recovery mode or having problems related to correct operation.

During the massive update of these drivers, the focus was in particular on the Pop&Bang maps and some other maps.
These arecontrol maps related to a turbocharger protection threshold, cutting the pressure when an overpressure is detected in the intake manifold.
It is the maximum temperature difference above a set maximum turbine temperature threshold, beyond which the turbine protection is activated.
It is a map that manages the pressure target when Launch Control mode is active.
In order to obtain burble effect on driver there are specific maps that will allow to customize all the factors related to Pop & Bang (duration, loudness, delay in activation and gear shift crackles).
The main maps needed to make Burble work properly are the minimum spark advance: with these maps you’ll be able to manage the volume of the bangs from the exhaust: the more you will decrease them the louder will be the car. Obviously you need to work on the lift off area (high revs and low load).
With this new update you’ll be also able to manage in what driving modes enable the pop & bang function: thanks to the single point activation you’ll be able to decide on what driving mode enable the effect.
Generally Pop & Bang raise the temperature of the catalyst and turbine, so in order to protect the components of the car there is a time reduction factor in function of the catalyst temperature that will reduce the time the burble effect is active in order to allow the turbocharger and the catalyst to cool down. Cooler components mean less risk to break down!
